As a BBC trained freelance lighting cameraman with over 15 years’ experience, Mike Johnson makes every shoot look stylish and professional. He combines creative ideas and an eye for detail with a passion for making great television.

Mike has earned a reputation as a reliable, creative and skillful member of the production teams he works with. Whether working as a camera supervisor on a multi-camera live production, or as a lighting cameraman on a PSC shoot, he will work hard, alongside your team, to give you the right shots that will leave your editor spoilt for choice.

Mike is very proud to be part of the technical and creative team for Springwatch that won the BAFTA Special Award 2011.

He is a full member of the Guild of Television Cameramen and has £5 million worldwide Public Liability Insurance cover.

When not working Mike can be found at home in Birmingham with his wife, dreaming of the next snowboarding trip or African adventure or braving the waves in Cornwall learning to surf.
